This section encompasses all those essays based on the automation of tasks in a surgical area. This way, the autoguidance system allows calculating a free-obstacle trajectory of the robot’s tool to a specific point, depending on the task carried out. On the other hand, the research also studies the automatic recognition of the surgeon’s actions so that the robot can semiautonomously assist him, for instance, in suture procedures in which the robot will have to execute certain supporting actions making the surgeon’s task easier.
